Recap of our 2022 Toy Drive

Updated: Jan 16, 2023

RISE collected 1,419 gifts, exceeding our goal of 1,000, for our Northmore, Pleasant City, Roosevelt Elementary, and other local students for our December Toy Drive.

Special thanks to Little Smiles, Community Friends, Inc., NCON, WPB Fire Department, the Black Business Investment Corp., Good Samaritan Hospital, Macy’s, Career Source, Legal Aid Society, the PBC School District, Love Conquers Nursing, Pleasant City Community Center, Temple Beth El, and the many, many individual donors, for helping to bring smiles to our students and their families over the holidays. We also received wonderful notes of thanks from the principals:

“Happy New Year Mr. Glover, on behalf of the Pleasant City Family, I would like to say, Thank you to the RISE Organization and the RISE Supporters for going Over and Beyond for our Tigers. We are grateful for the generosity and the love that was showered on our students for the holiday.” Principal Adrienne Griffin, Pleasant City Elementary

“Thank you for your generous Toys for Tots Donation!” Principal Sharonda Alleyne, Roosevelt Elementary

“Thank you, Mr. Glover, Volunteers and to all of the Donors for your time, love, and gifts for our Northmore Elementary students. We had a student inform us that the family had a Christmas tree but the family could not afford to purchase gifts. Donations like this really make so proud that you chose to invest, volunteer, and be a Business Partner at Northmore. On behalf of the Northmore staff and students. Thank you!” Principal Cory Friess and Charrie Gordon, Northmore Elementary
