33407 “Black” History Memoirs

For Black History Month, Northend RISE would like to commemorate local individuals who reside in the Northend, Coleman Park, and Pleasant City areas in which we serve.

We would like to orchestra the telling of the history of these areas as it lives on through the residents.

We hope that this project will inspire many more generations to strive to build upon their legacy to have a story to tell for generations to come.

Thank you to all the participants and sources used, for assisting with this project to tell the memoirs of these communities through the lens of its residents who have contributed greatly to the very fabric of its livelihood.

The following interviews were conducted in 2023 and 2024.
